It has been pretty devastating for me regarding the Florida Keys being hit by Hurricane Wilma. The storm went Northwest of the island chain but the storm surge had some pretty good damage. The water washed peoples possessions, totaled cars and so on. Many have to start over. I saw some photo's and Video Clips where the water was almost to the roofs of some cars. I know my old neighborhood was hit very hard with the surge.
I pray for a speedy recovery for the Florida Keys and they would be stronger than ever.
They need to put their trust and faith to God.
It seems lately I have been making allot of tough decisions. While I am not going to mention specifics, it sure has been challenging. I need to put my faith in God, so I can make all the right decisions.
Yesterday was a double whammy.- 23 years ago, my mother went to be with the Lord. She wasn't well for a long time but with all the challenges, she didn't pull through. I still miss her to this day. Even with her problems, I enjoyed our conversations, joking and so on. She is in a better place.
- I just learned yesterday, a close friend of mine from Florida suddenly passed away from a heart attack. He and myself use to bike ride up and down the lower Florida Keys every weekend. Even in his 60's he was in great shape and hard to keep up with. I was at my healthiest point when I rode with him. I am going to get back into biking in his honor this weekend. Not only he was a great friend but a great co-worker. He had passion towards his job and people. He is survived by his wife and kids. He is in a much better place now. Maybe riding his bike in heaven.
I experience a couple of nice day trips. Taos New Mexico and Santa Fe. Very cool cities. History, architecture and culture. Nice art galleries, adobe buildings and other fun venues. I enjoyed taking photographs of the two towns. Looking forward to future travel as well.
