I heard a funny Christmas Song on the radio and I can not get it out of my mind. Porky the Pig's bbblue Christmas. I laughed. Now this weird song is stuck in my head. Thank God for the Holiday's Thank God for the Birth of Jesus Christ.
Like James 4:8 says. Draw Near to God and he will draw near to you. I feel I have been drawing closer lately. While I am going through some challenges, there are some very nice things happening. Part of a exciting Church called Soul Rio. I have been going there since 2002. We moved back to the facility which we occupied a few years ago. Facility looks great. Very today but there is a whole new energy from everyone. I feel God is going to lead the Church into some great new adventures and a unique new way serving him. It's great to be part of a great Church especially when you are single and you feel you are all alone. I am also part of a exciting Futsal League, Albuquerque Super F League. Premier Futsal League in New Mexico. See my sister Blog at http://gol4jlh.blogspot.com/. Great league with 16 very exciting Futsal Teams. I work with some great guys who really know the game of Futsal and Soccer. It is a great blessing to work with the staff, teams, coaches, fans and family. It is going to be a great fun season with more fun to come. I love the game of Futsal and Albuquerque Super F League. I need to focus on the positive and not the negative parts of my life. I need to also draw closer to God and make better choices in my life.
I am a member of Soul Rio Church. We are moving from a local High School and moving into a store front. It will be great to have our own temporary facilities. Being a portable Church, it was difficult to have midweek activities. It will open the doors for new ministries. Something I am really missing. The facility is small but it will be home. I would love to have and be part of more Church activities so I can steer the right direction. Something I am lacking. I can not wait. I will also be more involved in the Futsal League I am part of Albuquerque Super F League.
We are going to build a community center in a couple of years. Amphitheater, Cafe, Gym (basketball, volleyball maybe Futsal for our League?), kids area, Youth area, Fitness Center and more.
I downloaded some new hits and old christian favorites on my ipod. Faith Enough by Carmen: I think it is going to be a hot work out song. One World by Toby Mac: In My Arms by Plumb: I love this singer and dance remix.
I am very excited about Albuquerque's Super F League Futsal. 5x5 Indoor Brazilian Style Soccer on mostly Gym Floor. Ball is smaller 3-4 and heavier. Fun and fast pace. Fun to watch and play!
It sure has been a very long time since I blogged but I am back. I am currently under the weather so I am going to keep it short. I have been doing more videos lately as I will put to my websites and youtube. Stay tuned for more details. I have been watching lots of soccer. Love it. La Liga, Bundesliga and various leagues in Latin America. I would love to watch Futsal but the popularity is not quite hear yet. A friend of mine is trying to get a league together. If so, I am going to extend a offer to video tape some matches. Just for fun at no charge. He is trying to find a facility at this time. I pray he gets his wish. That is it for now. I am not feeling very well. Need to eat and go to bed. This flu is getting the best of me.
I have gone through some big changes since I had blogged last. I lost 48 pounds due to exercising. I was working out 2 hours a day before I was told to slow down a little. I work out an hour a day. I feel much better. I tend to spend my free times working out, watching Soccer on TV and I will get back into photography. I planningg some minor trips this year. I have a new car with good gas milage which will come in handly. I plan to take plenty of photographs of scenic areas.
I apologize it has been a while. I have been quite busy with my new position and other stuff. We had a interesting Summer. Flooding rain which luckily, I have not been effected but some individual's in my area have. I went on a road trip recently, hours after I left each area, they had experienced Flash Flooding. I guess I am bad luck or I was lucky I didn't get caught. I pray for the victims.
I have not taken many photographs this year but I am dying to change that. I've taken a few Sunrise photos recently. I can't wait to get some Fall Photos. Nice colors.
In the next few days, I plan to post an amazing story I had witnessed. Important, it should have it's own blog.

We had a pretty good wind storm Tuesday afternoon into the evening. The winds were pretty much 35-65 mph with blowing dust. It was a pretty interesting ride home. I thought my car was going to blow sideways to Texas. My neighborhood had some down trees but also sadly, a few cars got crushed as well. I believe 4 cars got damaged with one car severely crushed and totaled. Maybe more but there were 4 cars in our complex suffered serious damage from one big tree alone. I didn't go through the whole complex, I have seen enough. We lost several trees. I had flash backs of Hurricane Georges when I lived in the Keys. Luckily this was not as bad. When our neighborhood is completely cleaned up, I area will still be beautiful.
I am still here. I didn't fall off the face of the earth. I have been pretty busy with work, website editing and so on.
I just had a birthday, which the years are just flying by. I wish I wasn't middle aged. It was more fun when I was younger in my 20's. Single and middle age, how sad.
I am back in a Bible Study group. I really enjoy this group. Young, hunger for Christ, very honest and open. We not only study together but we share life experiences and support each other. Great way to spend Friday night. The group is allot of fun and has a great since of humor. There is not a dull moment with this great group. It's one thing to go to Church every Sunday but being in a small group outside of Church is the way to go. It is like a extended family.
I am looking forward to taking new photos this Spring and through out the year. I hope to get some real scenic shots. I would love to return to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Plus Monument Valley. Never been there but from the websites I have seen, it is beautiful. I have a real thing with Red Rocks. It would be fun to create my personal postcards and other Multimedia presentation.
That is it. Nothing else is running between my ears. LOL.
It has been pretty devastating for me regarding the Florida Keys being hit by Hurricane Wilma. The storm went Northwest of the island chain but the storm surge had some pretty good damage. The water washed peoples possessions, totaled cars and so on. Many have to start over. I saw some photo's and Video Clips where the water was almost to the roofs of some cars. I know my old neighborhood was hit very hard with the surge.
I pray for a speedy recovery for the Florida Keys and they would be stronger than ever.
It seems lately I have been making allot of tough decisions. While I am not going to mention specifics, it sure has been challenging. I need to put my faith in God, so I can make all the right decisions.
23 years ago, my mother went to be with the Lord. She wasn't well for a long time but with all the challenges, she didn't pull through. I still miss her to this day. Even with her problems, I enjoyed our conversations, joking and so on. She is in a better place.
I just learned yesterday, a close friend of mine from Florida suddenly passed away from a heart attack. He and myself use to bike ride up and down the lower Florida Keys every weekend. Even in his 60's he was in great shape and hard to keep up with. I was at my healthiest point when I rode with him. I am going to get back into biking in his honor this weekend. Not only he was a great friend but a great co-worker. He had passion towards his job and people. He is survived by his wife and kids. He is in a much better place now. Maybe riding his bike in heaven.
I experience a couple of nice day trips. Taos New Mexico and Santa Fe. Very cool cities. History, architecture and culture. Nice art galleries, adobe buildings and other fun venues. I enjoyed taking photographs of the two towns. Looking forward to future travel as well.
There is a cool radio station in Santa Fe known as Blu 102.9fm. They play the best in Blu/Chill music. It is very cool and different. You can even here them on line at http://www.blu1029.com
I apologize it has been so long since I have put in any journal entries. I have been pretty busy with work and other activities. Time has gone so fast. I hope to have time to myself in the near future. I am really burned out and looking forward to some vacation time.
